Benewake Launches 20-Point NOVA20 LiDAR for Robot Near-Field Safety

Beijing – October 12, 2026 -- Benewake has launched the NOVA20, a solid-state multi-point LiDAR that weighs less than 5g and draws less than 1W, built to cover the one-meter zone around robots where existing sensor stacks leave gaps.

NOVA20 delivers 20-point sensing across a 40° field of view

The sensor covers a detection range of 0.05-1m, rated at 1m against 10% reflectivity targets under 100 klux ambient light. It has no mechanical moving components. It outputs physical distance data directly and generates no 2D images, which Benewake says reduces image data collection and host-level vision processing requirements.

The compact form factor allows mounting on the chassis, body, wrist, waist, knee and ankle of a robotic platform.

Benewake targets three blind spots in current robot perception

Benewake identifies three limitations in existing architectures:

Samsung, Applied Ventures Back Flexcompute's Physics World Model

Boston – October 12, 2026 -- Flexcompute has secured strategic investment from Samsung Ventures and Applied Ventures, the venture arm of Applied Materials, to scale its Physics World Model, an AI system that predicts design behavior by learning the laws of physics. The company did not disclose the investment amount, and other investors also participated.

Flexcompute solves a 5-billion-DOF chip package warpage model in minutes

Flexcompute reports that it solved a 5-billion degree-of-freedom warpage model for a full advanced semiconductor package within 2% of commercial finite-element results, in minutes. The package contained more than 800,000 solder joints, an ASIC and 32 optical engines. The company says this is the kind of problem traditional simulation cannot reach.

Robo.ai Tops $100M September Revenue, Guides to $600M for 2026

Dubai, UAE – October 06, 2026 -- Robo.ai Inc. (Nasdaq: AIIO) reported September revenue exceeding US$100 million, driven primarily by Quantum Core Capital Limited (QC Capital), and now expects approximately US$600 million in total revenue for full year 2026. The figures are preliminary and unaudited, the Company said, pending review by its independent accounting firm.

QC Capital anchors revenue since its June acquisition

QC Capital, acquired on June 15, 2026, provides operational management and delivery services to enterprise customers and charges for completed delivery orders accepted by clients. Robo.ai said the unit has maintained stable operations and consistent revenue contribution since the deal closed, which it cited as evidence of smooth integration. The Company cautioned that revenue alone does not establish profitability or positive operating cash flow.

FFR Highlights FFAI Robotics at IROS 2026 Amid $200M Deal

Los Angeles – October 02, 2026 -- FF EAI Robotics Ecosystem Inc. (NASDAQ: FFR) showcased the EAI Robotics business of Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. (NASDAQ: FFAI) at IROS 2026 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, held September 28-30, 2026, as the two companies advance a non-binding term sheet that values the robotics unit at approximately $200 million.

All-New Futurist robot draws most attendee interest at Pittsburgh conference

FF displayed multiple EAI robot products built on its "One-Brain Multi-Form Multi-Capability" EAI Robot World 2.0 architecture. The All-New Futurist unit attracted particular attention for its mobile operation and flexible task execution across demonstrated scenarios. The company also introduced its "Built in USA" Acceleration Program during the three-day event, one of the largest robotics research conferences globally.

AGILINK Robotic Hand Masters Silk Embroidery, Hits 15,000 Units Shipped

Suzhou – – September 30, 2026 -- Chinese robotics firm AGILINK has shipped more than 15,000 dexterous robotic hands since spinning out from AGIBOT in January 2026, a scale-up that coincides with a demonstration of its OmniHand 3 Ultra performing traditional Suzhou embroidery.

Master craftswoman trains robotic hand on silk-thread techniques

Fu Xianghong, a Suzhou embroidery master, taught the OmniHand 3 Ultra foundational stitching skills including separating silk threads, threading a needle, stretching fabric on an embroidery hoop and stitching. Silk thread bends, slips and changes shape with slight contact variation, requiring one finger to isolate strands while others maintain tension, and opposing fingertips to twist thread without losing grip.

Pittsburgh – September 30, 2026 -- Daimon Robotics demonstrated its full tactile intelligence infrastructure at IROS 2026, running the first in-person public showcase of its Daimon-TWM world model since its August 2026 launch.

Daimon-TWM performs two live autonomous manipulation tasks under real-time tactile feedback

In one demo, a robot strung engraved beads onto a flexible cord for a friendship bracelet, a task requiring small-scale precision and continuous adjustment to changing contact conditions. In a second, a robot autonomously executed canvas tote heat-transfer printing, sequencing sticker placement, film removal, hot stamping and curing while adapting each step to the physical state of the task.

Los Angeles – – September 30, 2026 -- Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. (NASDAQ: FFAI) has signed a non-binding term sheet to move its entire EAI robotics business into Nasdaq-listed AIxCrypto Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: AIXC), at a proposed valuation of approximately $200 million in an all-stock deal.

AIxC will rename itself FF EAI Robotics Ecosystem Inc. and swap its ticker to FFR effective September 30, 2026.
Both companies' special committees have approved the term sheet, though the transaction remains subject to due diligence, definitive documentation and regulatory approvals. Under the proposed structure, AIxC will discontinue its crypto strategy and become a pure-play robotics company built around FF's "Four-Core Full-Stack AI" model, while FFAI retains its position as the single largest and controlling stockholder of FFR.

LumiBot Debuts Dexterous Hands, Tactile Sensors at IROS 2026

LumiBot Debuts Dexterous Hands, Tactile Sensors at IROS 2026

Pittsburgh – September 30, 2026 -- LumiBot, a robotics startup founded just over a year ago and known in China as Shiyue Technology, unveiled a full stack of finger-shaped visuo-tactile sensors, dexterous hand hardware and manipulation foundation models at IROS 2026, where it was also selected to present at the conference's official Startup Session.

Industry-wide tactile datasets total only tens of thousands of samples, LumiBot says

The company argues that embodied AI's progress is capped by a hardware bottleneck: public multimodal datasets combining high-DOF dexterous hands with tactile feedback number only in the tens of thousands of samples, while scalable manipulation models require tens of millions of hours of real-world operational data. LumiBot's strategy is to fix data quality at the hardware layer so collected samples are standardized and reusable from the outset.
