Daimon Robotics Debuts Tactile World Model Live at IROS 2026

Pittsburgh – September 30, 2026 -- Daimon Robotics demonstrated its full tactile intelligence infrastructure at IROS 2026, running the first in-person public showcase of its Daimon-TWM world model since its August 2026 launch.

Daimon-TWM performs two live autonomous manipulation tasks under real-time tactile feedback

In one demo, a robot strung engraved beads onto a flexible cord for a friendship bracelet, a task requiring small-scale precision and continuous adjustment to changing contact conditions. In a second, a robot autonomously executed canvas tote heat-transfer printing, sequencing sticker placement, film removal, hot stamping and curing while adapting each step to the physical state of the task.

DM-Tac Series sensors deliver over 110,000 sensing units across twelve-plus tactile modalities

The vision-based DM-Tac sensors provide multidimensional, high-resolution, high-frequency perception. Live floor demonstrations at IROS included underwater sensing, durability testing and empty-package detection to show sensor stability under difficult conditions.

Data-Nexus system unifies acquisition and processing pipelines for training data

The Data-Nexus Acquisition System combines data acquisition devices, networking, processing pipelines and evaluation benchmarks into one workflow, continuously generating physical interaction data used to train the Daimon-TWM model.

Company positions tactile stack as infrastructure linking perception, data and world models

Daimon frames the three-layer stack — DM-Tac sensors, Data-Nexus, and Daimon-TWM — as an integrated system enabling physical cognition, predictive decision-making and real-time control for dexterous robotic manipulation.
