Arkestro Co-Founder Launches Book on Predictive AI in Procurement

Amsterdam – September 30, 2026 -- Edmund Zagorin, co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Arkestro, launched his first book, The Predictive Enterprise: How Superhuman Supply Chains Transform Global Business, at DPW Amsterdam on September 30, with a signing held at Arkestro's booth at 12:30 p.m. CEST.

Book carries a foreword from former GE Chairman and CEO Jeff Immelt

Published by Wiley, the book is available for pre-order now and reaches wide retail availability on October 5, 2026. It draws on interviews with Global 2000 executives and argues that enterprise AI investment will only pay off once companies redesign how decisions get made, not simply automate existing workflows.

Insilico Medicine Nominates AI-Designed GIPR Antagonist ISM1354

Cambridge, Mass. – September 30, 2026 -- Insilico Medicine (HKEX: 3696) has nominated ISM1354, an AI-designed small molecule GIPR antagonist, as a preclinical candidate for obesity, type 2 diabetes and potential cardiovascular applications tied to obesity-associated heart failure.

ISM1354 improves on Insilico's earlier GIPR candidate ISM0676
The company nominated ISM0676, a prior GIPR antagonist, in January, which showed up to 31.3% weight loss in combination with Semaglutide in humanized mouse models. ISM1354 retains comparable weight-loss efficacy while delivering improved pharmacokinetic and safety profiles, addressing tolerability issues that have derailed rival GIPR programs industry-wide.

Saitama Launches Global Campaign to Export Premium SAYAMA-CHA Tea

Saitama, Japan – – September 30, 2026 -- The Saitama Prefectural Government has released a new promotional video and brochure targeting international buyers to expand exports of SAYAMA-CHA, one of Japan's three finest green teas.

Saitama Targets Global Buyers Under "Saitama's Finest Produce" Tagline

The prefecture is positioning SAYAMA-CHA for lifestyle and beverage companies abroad, using official media assets to build brand recognition in export markets. The campaign includes a YouTube video and a downloadable PDF brochure aimed at global trade audiences.

Sayama Hills' Extreme Climate Swings Drive Tea Quality

Grown 30 kilometers from central Tokyo, tea in the Sayama Hills region is shaped by temperature swings from 35 degrees Celsius in summer to near minus 10 degrees Celsius in winter. This variation produces thicker tea leaves and higher umami concentration in fresh sprouts, according to the prefecture.

Roche Unit Launches Triple Newborn Screening Test for SMA, SCID, SCD

Berlin – – September 30, 2026 -- TIB MOLBIOL, a subsidiary of Roche Diagnostics, has launched the LightMix® Newborn TREC/SMN1/HBB kit, an IVDR-approved in vitro diagnostic test that simultaneously screens newborns for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), Severe Combined Immunodeficiency Disease (SCID), and Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) in countries accepting the CE mark.

Single kit consolidates three critical newborn screening panels for hospital labs

The test runs on established LightCycler systems, giving private and academic hospital laboratories a ready-to-use solution that integrates into existing workflows without requiring new infrastructure investment.

Daimon Robotics Debuts Tactile World Model Live at IROS 2026

Pittsburgh – September 30, 2026 -- Daimon Robotics demonstrated its full tactile intelligence infrastructure at IROS 2026, running the first in-person public showcase of its Daimon-TWM world model since its August 2026 launch.

Daimon-TWM performs two live autonomous manipulation tasks under real-time tactile feedback

In one demo, a robot strung engraved beads onto a flexible cord for a friendship bracelet, a task requiring small-scale precision and continuous adjustment to changing contact conditions. In a second, a robot autonomously executed canvas tote heat-transfer printing, sequencing sticker placement, film removal, hot stamping and curing while adapting each step to the physical state of the task.

LumiBot Debuts Dexterous Hands, Tactile Sensors at IROS 2026

Pittsburgh – September 30, 2026 -- LumiBot, a robotics startup founded just over a year ago and known in China as Shiyue Technology, unveiled a full stack of finger-shaped visuo-tactile sensors, dexterous hand hardware and manipulation foundation models at IROS 2026, where it was also selected to present at the conference's official Startup Session.

Industry-wide tactile datasets total only tens of thousands of samples, LumiBot says

The company argues that embodied AI's progress is capped by a hardware bottleneck: public multimodal datasets combining high-DOF dexterous hands with tactile feedback number only in the tens of thousands of samples, while scalable manipulation models require tens of millions of hours of real-world operational data. LumiBot's strategy is to fix data quality at the hardware layer so collected samples are standardized and reusable from the outset.

Uuni LLC Launches 'The Disciplined Executive,' Donates All Proceeds

Sunnyvale, California – – September 30, 2026 -- Uuni LLC has released a new leadership book, The Disciplined Executive, and pledged to donate 100% of proceeds to charity rather than retain any book revenue. Written by founder Jani Hirvonen and published September 15, 2026, the book applies elite athletic training methods to executive leadership development.

Author applies IRONMAN training discipline to corporate leadership models

Hirvonen, a two-time IRONMAN All-World Gold Athlete, argues that leadership capability is built through deliberate practice, repetition, and accountability rather than gained automatically through promotion to senior rank. He draws on more than 20 years of professional experience spanning technology, research, consulting, and publishing sectors, including work in business development, partnerships, and international operations across both nonprofit and for-profit organizations.
