Rockville, Md. – September 18, 2026 -- Ceva, Inc. (NASDAQ: CEVA) has appointed Ziv Hammer as Executive Vice President, Connectivity & Sensing, a newly created role that consolidates the company's connectivity and sensing businesses along with its CTO Office under a single leader.
Hammer brings two decades of semiconductor leadership from Intel, Infineon and GlobalFoundries
Hammer joins Ceva after senior roles at Intel, Infineon Technologies and GlobalFoundries, where he led global engineering organizations of more than 1,000 employees spanning compute, connectivity, IoT and semiconductor technologies. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President, Design Platforms and Services at GlobalFoundries, working across technology, IP, design enablement and ecosystem partners to move complex customized silicon designs from concept to production.
New role merges Wireless IoT, Mobile Broadband and Sensing & Audio Software under one executive
Based in Silicon Valley, Hammer will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Amir Panush and lead Ceva's Wireless IoT, Mobile Broadband and Sensing & Audio Software businesses. The restructuring is designed to give Ceva a single point of accountability as customers push for more complete, customized system solutions addressing emerging Physical AI applications.
CEO cites Silicon Valley presence as key to deepening customer engagement
Panush said Hammer's experience taking complex semiconductor technologies from concept to market would be critical as Ceva expands its offering toward Physical AI, adding that his presence in Silicon Valley would help align the company's technologies with customer opportunities. Ceva states it has shipped more than 22 billion devices and counts more than 400 customers worldwide across markets including 5G, cellular IoT, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, UWB connectivity and autonomous vehicles.
