WIT Names 2026 Top Companies for Women in Trucking After 18,000 Votes

Plover, Wisconsin – October 12, 2026 -- More than 18,000 votes were cast in this year's "Top Companies for Women to Work in Trucking" program, which Redefining the Road magazine, the official magazine of the Women In Trucking Association (WIT), used to release its 2026 list.

The program is in its ninth year. The magazine created the award in 2018 to support WIT's mission of promoting companies focused on the employment and advancement of women in trucking, according to Lana Nichols, interim president and CEO of WIT.

Voting by industry professionals determines the Elite 30

Every nomination is evaluated against established criteria before transportation professionals from across the industry vote on the final honorees, according to Brian Everett, group publisher and editorial director of Redefining the Road. The companies with the most votes make up the "Elite 30" of the 2026 list.

Five workplace criteria separate the honorees

Everett said the recognized companies share these characteristics:

  • Corporate cultures that foster gender diversity
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • Flexible hours and work requirements
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Career advancement opportunities
List spans carriers, 3PLs and equipment makers

The honorees include motor carriers, third-party logistics companies and original equipment manufacturers. Everett described the process as intentionally rigorous and said the program reflects the industry's growing commitment to employers that set the standard for workplace culture, leadership and professional development for women.

Dallas conference to recognize honorees Oct. 25-28

The companies will be recognized at the WIT Accelerate! Conference & Expo, held Oct. 25-28 in Dallas, Texas. ExxonMobil sponsors this year's program.
