Columbus, Ohio – October 12, 2026 -- Vertiv Holdings Co (NYSE: VRT) has agreed to acquire King Environmental Services Ltd. (KES), a Europe-based provider of fluid management, commissioning and load-testing services for high-density, liquid-cooled data centers, with closing expected in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Vertiv did not disclose financial terms. The company said the deal is not expected to be material to its financial results.
KES brings fluid management and load testing to Vertiv's EMEA services
The acquisition extends Vertiv's thermal management services into Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). KES is headquartered near Dublin, Ireland, and serves customers across the region.
KES covers fluid-system preparation, flushing, filtration, water treatment, commissioning and performance validation. It also provides thermal load testing for liquid cooling infrastructure and electrical load testing for critical power systems. These services span system preparation, performance validation, monitoring, maintenance and lifecycle optimization.
Deal follows Vertiv's December 2025 PurgeRite acquisition in North America
The transaction builds on Vertiv's North American fluid management presence, which includes its acquisition of PurgeRite in December 2025. Vertiv describes KES as the next step in a global thermal and fluid management services platform.
Vertiv CEO Gio Albertazzi said that as computing density rises, cooling and power infrastructure performance will depend as much on field execution as on engineering and system design.
Fluid quality drives uptime as AI workloads raise heat densities
Vertiv states that high-performance computing and AI workloads are increasing heat densities and accelerating adoption of liquid cooling. In these systems, fluid quality is critical to uptime, thermal performance and equipment life.
Contamination, trapped air, corrosion, improper chemistry and flow imbalances can reduce heat-transfer efficiency, contribute to equipment degradation and create commissioning and operational risks. Customers also need lifecycle fluid management beyond initial commissioning.
Vertiv targets a single accountable partner for commissioning and operations
Vertiv expects the combined offering to deliver four customer benefits:
- Reduce operational complexity through one accountable partner for commissioning, testing, fluid management and ongoing operations.
- Improve cooling performance with clean, balanced and validated fluid systems.
- Maintain compliance with regional fluid handling, treatment and disposal requirements.
- Increase confidence in infrastructure readiness through thermal load testing before facilities enter operation.
KES, founded in 2002, operates from hubs in North Dublin and Frankfurt.
Vertiv flagged risks to the deal, including the timing and consummation of the transaction, the possibility that closing does not occur, and its ability to retain KES management, key employees, customers and suppliers. It also cited uncertainty over whether anticipated synergies and accretion will materialize.
