The move came in response to inflation that picked up again last month. Fed officials also hinted at an additional rate increase before year-end.
Baby boomers control 42% of home purchases and 55% of home sales
Buyers aged 61 to 79 now represent the largest single demographic in both buying and selling activity nationwide. Because many boomers hold large or full equity in their current homes, they frequently pay cash for new purchases.
