East Rutherford – October 30, 2026 -- Cambrex has started construction on a $120 million expansion at its Charles City, Iowa, facility, adding 160,000 liters of manufacturing capacity for small molecule active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and synthetic peptides.

Expansion lifts Charles City capacity by about 25% to nearly one million liters

The contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) expects to complete the project in the fourth quarter of 2028. The added volume raises the site's total capacity by approximately 25%, to nearly one million liters.

Cambrex held a groundbreaking ceremony on October 29 with company leaders, employees, state and local officials and members of the Charles City community. The start of construction coincides with the site's 100th anniversary.

DAYTON, Minn. – October 29, 2026 -- Gradian Thermal Solutions has opened a 500,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Dayton, Minnesota, a roughly $60 million investment that lifts its total manufacturing footprint to approximately 780,000 square feet.

Dayton plant has been producing since June and is still ramping up

Production began at the site in June, and Gradian continues to add capacity. The company expects the facility to support what it describes as strong and growing demand from data center, industrial and commercial customers.

The plant joins Gradian's 180,000-square-foot facility in Maple Grove, Minnesota, and its 100,000-square-foot site in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Dallas – October 27, 2026 -- Business Jet is building two hangars totaling nearly 70,000 square feet at Dallas Love Field (KDAL), lifting its footprint to 475,000 square feet across 19 hangars and 2 executive terminals. Completion of the 18th and 19th hangars is scheduled for January 2026.

New hangars are sized for the largest ultra-long-range jets

The side-by-side hangars have 28-foot doors to fit aircraft such as the Gulfstream G700 and Bombardier Global 7500. Business Jet designed each building for a different tenant profile. One is a build-to-suit space for a single tenant, with custom design and elevated lobby finishes. The other is configured for multiple tenants, with seven individual office and shop spaces.

Both buildings include epoxy-coated floors, LED lighting, large format fans, radiant tube heating and electric vehicle chargers. Integrated utility pedestals supply 208/480/115-amp power, water and compressed air.

Finland – October 24, 2026 -- Aspocomp has invested in two new 6-spindle drilling machines to expand its drilling capacity and technology capabilities for high-reliability printed circuit boards (PCBs). The company describes the units as best-in-class equipment currently available on the market.

Drilling creates the electrical interconnections between PCB layers. Aspocomp says the accuracy, stability and consistency of this step directly affect signal integrity, reliability and overall product performance.

Basel – October 19, 2026 -- WuXi Biologics will expand annual capacity to approximately 300 IND programs and 20 BLA programs by 2027, as bispecific antibodies and ADCs made up 71% of the 169 projects it added in the first half of 2026. More than two-thirds of those new programs originated in the United States and Europe, the company said at its 3rd annual Basel CRDMO+ Day, held alongside Festival of Biologics Basel 2026, which drew more than 3,000 industry professionals.

Lansing – October 16, 2026 -- Niowave is building an 80,000-square-foot medical radioisotope production facility in Lansing, Michigan, with a capital investment of more than $85 million and operations expected to start in 2028.

Labor Secretary Keith Sonderling toured Niowave's existing dedicated production facility and the construction site of its second plant. He also held a roundtable with company leaders on the production of medical radioisotopes for cancer treatments.

New plant to house up to six linear particle accelerators

The facility will contain up to six new linear particle accelerators and expand Niowave's capacity to produce Actinium-225, an isotope used in targeted alpha therapies for cancer. It will also include production space, radiochemistry laboratories, warehousing and administrative offices.

Minneapolis – October 15, 2026 -- Daikin Applied has raised production capacity for custom-built hydronic and electric systems by approximately 150% with the opening of its expanded 191,000-square-foot Modular Solutions facility in Phoenix, Arizona.

The plant grows the company's modular manufacturing footprint from 58,000 to 191,000 square feet. Daikin Applied says factory-built mechanical systems give customers faster deployment, tighter quality control and simpler onsite installation than traditional stick-built construction. Complete systems are assembled and tested in a controlled factory environment, which the company says reduces schedule risk.

Tognana, Italy – October 13, 2026 -- Vertiv expects to double chiller production capacity at its Tognana campus near Padua by the end of 2026, as demand for AI and high-density computing infrastructure drives investment in data center cooling.

The NYSE-listed company will also complete a new large-scale testing laboratory in early 2027, adding integrated validation capacity to the site.

New laboratory will test chillers with liquid cooling under extreme loads

The facility will test large-scale chillers and validate how they integrate with liquid cooling systems under high-density load conditions and extreme temperature ranges. Vertiv says the capability lets customers verify thermal performance under expected site conditions. The aim is to deploy increasingly complex cooling systems with greater speed and confidence.

Westminster, Colo. – September 17, 2026 -- Ball Corporation (NYSE: BALL) will build a new two-line beverage can manufacturing facility in Uttar Pradesh, India, expected to be operational in 2029, marking the company's third production site in the country.

Ball adds third India plant to existing Taloja and Sri City operations

The Uttar Pradesh greenfield facility joins Ball's established plants in Taloja, Maharashtra, and Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. The company entered the Indian market in 2016 and has steadily expanded capacity to serve both global and domestic beverage brands.

Investment backed by customer contracts, expected to generate strong EVA

Ball said the project is supported by existing customer contracts and is expected to generate strong economic value added (EVA). The company noted the investment aligns with its guidance that capital expenditures will average depreciation and amortization over time.

Basel, Switzerland – September 16, 2026 -- CordenPharma has committed a multi-year €80 million investment to expand sterile injectable manufacturing at its FDA & EMA-approved Caponago site near Milan, Italy, targeting a total production capacity of 500 million units per year.

CordenPharma finalizes €13 million land and building acquisition to expand Caponago footprint by over 50%

The company completed the purchase of an 11,000 m2 commercial building and 26,000 m2 of adjacent land on 28 July 2026, adjacent to its existing late-stage aseptic fill & finish area. The new space can accommodate at least four aseptic fill & finish lines, four visual inspection lines and four packaging lines, with room for customer-owned lines, large-scale lyophilization and auto-injector assembly.
