Global – October 29, 2026 -- Small language models under 10 billion parameters are starting to run on GPU/NPU-powered edge hardware with as little as 4GB of RAM, but most deployed IoT devices still depend on the lightweight compute inside the cellular modem SoC, according to Telit Cinterion.

Cellular modules host inference on the same chip that manages the network

Edge AI runs the model on the device itself. The device responds with near-zero latency, consumes far less bandwidth and keeps working if the network connection drops. Cloud-dependent products send a sensor value to a server and wait for the result, which adds latency and network dependence.

In many IoT products, the cellular module is the edge. The chip that handles the radio and network connection can also run a small model. Because the module reads its own signal quality, a model can monitor network availability and optimize reliability dynamically.

Mannheim – October 28, 2026 -- Irreversible brain damage can begin within three to five minutes of cardiac arrest, while German emergency services need nine minutes on average to arrive, according to the German Resuscitation Council (GRC). Almas Industries argues that employers who buy a defibrillator (AED) without planning the first minutes of response leave that gap unaddressed.

The GRC says well-performed bystander resuscitation can triple the chance of survival. The European Resuscitation Council's 2025 guidelines explicitly include first responders without medical training. The statutory accident insurer DGUV says survival chances rise markedly when resuscitation and, if needed, defibrillation start within the first three minutes.

Liquid-cooled AI racks push current above 2,000 amps

A liquid-cooled AI rack can draw around 120 kW. At the 48 to 54 V DC used inside many of these racks, that exceeds 2,000 amps. Busbar is therefore a critical component inside the rack and in the switchgear and busway that feed it.

MES President and CEO Hiten Shah said material and margin do not explain the quote gap. One supplier prices punch and bend, another stamping, another machining, so buyers are not comparing the same part until those assumptions are disclosed.

About 50% to 60% of projects are custom IoT solutions built for specific deployments. Roughly 80% of customizations are software, and hardware changes make up the other 20%. Namespace indexes can change between sessions, so URIs must be stored

A NodeId such as ns=4;s=Pump01.DischargePressure uses 4 as an index into the session's NamespaceArray. The OPC UA specification allows that index to change in a later session. A stored ns=4 string without its namespace URI can point to the wrong namespace after the server's table changes. Mappings should retain the endpoint, namespace URI, identifier type and identifier, and resolve the current index at connection time.

Recovered failures can look like clean successes

In the source's example, an agent retrieving an account balance queries an unnecessary privileged system, hits an authorization error, retries twice and then reaches the approved source. The user sees a correct result. An output-level assertion marks the run as a success, while a trace-level evaluation flags it as degraded.
