Shanghai Electric H1 Revenue Jumps 16.6% on CNY100.4bn Order Book

Shanghai – September 17, 2026 -- Shanghai Electric posted operating revenue of CNY 63.332 billion (USD 9.17 billion) in the first half of 2026, up 16.6% year-on-year, while net profit attributable to shareholders rose 18.2% to CNY 970 million (USD 140.49 million). New orders reached CNY 100.39 billion (USD 14.54 billion), extending the company's order backlog across energy equipment, industrial equipment and integrated services.

Energy Equipment segment drives growth with 21.4% revenue increase

The Energy Equipment segment generated CNY 36.558 billion (USD 5.29 billion) in revenue, up 21.4%, led by wind power and energy storage. Industrial Equipment revenue rose 1.9% to CNY 18.954 billion (USD 2.75 billion), supported by digital upgrades in machine tools, elevators and industrial components. Integrated Services revenue climbed 31.5% to CNY 10.862 billion (USD 1.57 billion) on supply chain coordination and full-lifecycle service work.

New orders total CNY 100.39 billion, with energy equipment accounting for the largest share

Energy Equipment orders totaled CNY 64.24 billion (USD 9.30 billion), comprising CNY 12.39 billion (USD 1.79 billion) in wind power equipment, CNY 11.44 billion (USD 1.66 billion) in energy storage equipment, CNY 4.57 billion (USD 661.91 million) in nuclear power equipment, and CNY 20.23 billion (USD 2.93 billion) in coal-fired power generation equipment. Industrial Equipment orders reached CNY 21.25 billion (USD 3.08 billion), while Integrated Services orders stood at CNY 14.91 billion (USD 2.16 billion).

Overseas contracts advance in Dubai, Finland and the UK

Shanghai Mitsubishi Elevator secured a contract to supply 700 high-end elevators for the Dubai Palm Island Phase II project. The company's power transmission and distribution unit won its first large-scale European contract, supplying high- and low-voltage switchgear for a hyperscale data center in Finland. Shanghai Electric also signed for the Minety Phase II Stonehill Energy Storage Project in the UK, a 50 MW/150 MWh installation.

Company expands regional headquarters network across three continents

Shanghai Electric opened new regional headquarters in Central Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East and North Africa under its "1+N+6" international management structure, aimed at strengthening localized operations in key markets.

Biomass green methanol project in Lanzhou moves into construction

The company's "green power + biomass gasification to green methanol" technology, validated at its Jilin Taonan project, has secured the EPC contract for the Lanzhou New Area 100,000-ton/year biomass green methanol project (Phase I), now under construction. Offshore wind orders have exceeded 2 GW, and the company contributed to full commissioning of the Huai'an Salt Cavern Compressed Air Energy Storage Project, described as the world's largest.

SEunicloud platform connects 1.16 million devices as robotics debut expands

Shanghai Electric's "SUYUAN 2.0" humanoid robot made its domestic debut, with more than 40 AI agents deployed across R&D, production and maintenance functions. The SEunicloud Industrial Internet Platform has connected approximately 1.16 million devices and developed over 60 industry-specific digital solutions.
