FOTON Exports Jump 44.3% as Chinese Truck Maker Expands in Europe

Beijing – September 10, 2026 -- Chinese commercial vehicle maker FOTON shipped 149,000 units abroad between January and August 2026, a 44.3% increase year-on-year, as the company prepares a major European push at the IAA Transportation show in Hannover on September 14.

The Beijing-based manufacturer has moved from a product-export model to what it calls a systematic globalization strategy spanning technology, manufacturing, supply chains and service networks. FOTON operates 32 local production facilities across Southeast Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, with new plants under construction in Indonesia and Saudi Arabia.
