Petrobras Accepts Seagems Bid for Vessel in 2028 PLSV Tender

Hamilton – September 19, 2026 -- Paratus Energy Services Ltd. confirmed that Petrobras has accepted a bid submitted by its Seagems joint venture for a third-party vessel under the state oil company's ongoing pipe-laying support vessel (PLSV) tender process for contracts starting in 2028.

Petrobras Publishes Partial Tender Results Favoring Seagems Bid

Petrobras has issued partial results from the tender, confirming acceptance of the bid covering the third-party vessel. The award remains subject to a formal Petrobras contract decision and the execution of definitive agreements between the parties.

Seagems Secures Vessel Access Through MOU With Purchase Option

As disclosed in Paratus' Q2 2026 interim results, Seagems submitted bids for its own vessel, Jade, and for a third-party vessel to which it secured exclusive access ahead of the tender. That access is structured through a memorandum of understanding, which also grants Seagems a purchase option on the vessel, contingent on finalizing definitive agreements.

Outcome Hinges on Formal Contract Award From Brazilian Operator

Paratus, which holds a 50% joint venture stake in Seagems, said it will provide further updates as the tender process progresses toward formal contract execution. Seagems operates a fleet of six multi-purpose pipe-laying support vessels, all currently under contract in Brazil, providing installation, flexible pipe-laying and construction services.
