Miami – September 30, 2026 -- OutRival, creator of AI-powered Digital Workers, has appointed Shaun Sjolin as Chief Customer Officer to oversee customer relationships from onboarding through the full customer lifecycle.
Sjolin brings enterprise contact center expertise from NICE to OutRival's growth strategy
Sjolin joins from NICE, a global contact center software provider, where he served as Vice President of Customer Success managing large enterprise accounts across travel, hospitality, retail, healthcare, insurance, utilities, and infrastructure sectors. His prior roles include leading enterprise customer journeys at SAP, IBM, and Aon Hewitt.
OutRival's Digital Workers deploy in roughly two weeks within existing CRM and telephony systems
OutRival's AI Digital Workers currently handle millions of conversations a month for clients in higher education, insurance, and travel. The company states its Digital Workers begin with warm outbound contact, reaching every inquiry within minutes, before expanding into inbound calls, text concierge services, renewals, and bill pay.
New CCO will map customer journeys across admissions, service, retention, and finance functions
As Chief Customer Officer, Sjolin will lead efforts to extend Digital Worker deployment across onboarding, support, renewal, and re-engagement stages. He is also tasked with building OutRival's forward-deployed customer team and incorporating client feedback into product development.
"Customers deserve a partner who understands their business, communicates clearly, and takes ownership of the results," said Sjolin.
OutRival is backed by investors including Y Combinator, Initialized Capital, Google Ventures, and Top Tier Capital Partners. Co-Founder and CEO Ruben Harris said Sjolin's role is to ensure early customer success extends into sustained value rather than remaining a peak moment.
