Arlington, Virginia – September 30, 2026 -- Nisos has launched Identity Integrity, a new module within its Ascend platform that cross-references an individual's identity signals against independent intelligence sources and delivers a risk report within minutes.
Module Targets Gaps Left by Document-Based Verification
Traditional identity checks confirm that a document is legitimate or that submitted information matches a database record, but they do not establish that the person presenting that information is who they claim to be. Identity Integrity cross-references data an organization already holds — such as a name, email address, phone number, resume or professional profile — against official public records, breach data, investigation databases and digital footprint information to surface inconsistencies or gaps.
"Organizations have spent years getting better at verifying documents, records and credentials. But the more important question is whether those pieces of information actually belong to the person presenting them," said Ryan LaSalle, CEO of Nisos.
Tool Applies Across Three Points in the Employee Lifecycle
Nisos designed Identity Integrity for use in pre-hire review to flag potential synthetic identities before onboarding, in employee investigations when insider-threat monitoring or HR concerns raise identity questions, and in broader workforce assessments following security events such as a suspected nation-state-linked infiltration.
Reports Assign a Discrepancy Score and Plug Into HR Systems via API
Each Identity Integrity Report generates an overall discrepancy score alongside the specific signals and underlying evidence supporting the assessment, allowing organizations to decide whether to proceed, investigate further or escalate the case. The module is API-enabled for integration with applicant tracking systems, HRIS platforms and security workflows, and findings can be escalated to Nisos' analyst-led Employment Shield investigations for deeper review.
