Chennai – – September 30, 2026 -- MPS Limited said its Artificial Intelligence Management System has been certified to ISO/IEC 42001:2023, the first international standard for AI management systems, following a multi-stage external audit by DNV Business Assurance.
DNV audit confirms governed AI framework across risk, data and oversight controls
The certification, accredited by the Dutch Accreditation Council (RvA), confirms that MPS develops, deploys, and manages AI under a framework covering risk assessment, human oversight, data governance, transparency, and accountability across the full AI lifecycle. Every AI initiative within the certified scope is subject to structured risk and impact assessment, defined controls, and continuous monitoring.
Certificate covers four Indian delivery centers through August 2029
The scope applies to MPS Limited's operations in Chennai, Noida, Dehradun, and Bangalore. It is valid from August 25, 2026, through August 24, 2029, subject to annual surveillance audits. The certified system covers planning, development, deployment, operation, monitoring, and continual improvement of AI systems used in digital learning, scholarly publishing, and platform products, including AI-enabled content authoring, editorial and integrity tools, and AI-based analytics and personalization features.
Clients gain externally validated answers on AI governance and EU AI Act alignment
MPS said the certification gives client legal and procurement teams independently verified answers on how AI systems are governed, how content and data are protected, how human oversight is maintained, and how risk is managed. The standard's requirements align closely with emerging regulatory expectations under the EU AI Act, a priority for MPS clients operating in Europe.

New certification joins existing ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 27001 status
The AI management certification sits alongside MPS's existing ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 27001 certifications, placing AI governance under the same external audit regime the company applies to quality and information security.
