LONGWELL EC FanWall Cuts CRAH Fan Energy 38% for AI Data Centers

NINGBO, China -- September 01, 2026 -- Ningbo Longwell Electric Technology Co., Ltd. (LONGWELL) said its LWBE3G plug-fan platform cut CRAH fan energy consumption by 38% in a data center cooling deployment completed with a top-3 global precision cooling OEM. The Chinese EC fan and motor manufacturer released its AI-Era Data Center Cooling Pack on Aug. 31, 2026. LONGWELL delivered 12 engineering samples in 35 days and moved from specification lock to mass production in 90 days, compared with a 14-month development period plus a six-month ramp quoted by an incumbent European supplier for the same program.

CRAH system PUE contribution dropped from 1.42 to 1.28

The FanWall arrays built on the LWBE3G platform passed design and process validation at a 100% first-pass rate and recorded zero field failures during the deployment, LONGWELL said. Noise output fell by 6.5 dB(A). The customer's initial purchase order totaled 1,500 units, and deliveries under a 2025-2027 framework agreement carrying a 60,000-unit annual minimum exceeded 80,000 units in 2025.

Rack heat density climbed from 20 kW to 100 kW in two years

LONGWELL cited rack power density rising from a 15-20 kW range to 60-100 kW over two years as AI compute clusters scale, with next-generation platforms pushing past 100 kW per rack. The company's LWBE3G EC plug fans serve CRAH and CRAC units, while its LWAE3G EC axial fans handle condensers and cooling towers, both product lines built with Modbus control and N+1 automatic failover. The 28-page Data Center Cooling Pack details airflow specifications across the chain from CRAH intake to cooling tower exhaust. LONGWELL, founded in 1990 in Yuyao, Ningbo, exports to more than 30 countries and reports annual data center fan production capacity exceeding 120,000 units.

Bearing vibration sensors flag fan failures 30 to 90 days early

An optional bearing vibration sensor package gives operators 30 to 90 days of end-of-life warning ahead of fan failure, according to the company. Bruce Li, Founder and CEO of LONGWELL, said that above 60 kW per rack, the fan stage no longer functions as a component choice but determines whether a PUE target is reachable at all.

LONGWELL ties results to a single project's duty point

LONGWELL said the performance figures reflect a specific project and duty point, with final fan selection subject to confirmation by duty point, voltage and control requirements, mounting configuration and project validation. The company said the comparative timelines and energy figures refer to the equipment replaced in that project and imply no affiliation with or endorsement by the incumbent supplier.
