LG Energy Solution, indiGOtech Sign MoU for 46-Series EV Batteries

Seoul – September 30, 2026 -- LG Energy Solution has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with U.S. commercial EV startup indiGOtech to supply 46-series NCM cylindrical battery cells from 2027 to 2030, targeting indiGOtech's upcoming Flow Ride and Flow Cargo electric vans.

Deal targets commercial van platforms for logistics and ride-hailing

indiGOtech, headquartered in Woburn, Massachusetts, builds an integrated ecosystem combining electric commercial vans, charging infrastructure, and digital fleet services for the North American market. The battery supply agreement would underpin the company's Flow Ride and Flow Cargo vehicle lines, aimed at last-mile delivery, logistics, and ride-hailing fleets.

Partners to jointly optimize vehicle-battery integration

Under the MoU, LG Energy Solution and indiGOtech will pursue a final supply agreement while collaborating on vehicle-battery integration and performance verification. Both companies intend to examine ways to extend driving range and cut charging times using LG's 46-series NCM cylindrical cell technology, which the battery maker says offers high energy density and rapid charging capability.

Will Graylin, Chairman and CEO of indiGOtech, said today's electric vehicles are often not purpose-built for ride-hail and delivery operations and remain constrained by local charging infrastructure, leaving most such trips still served by gasoline vehicles.

LG Energy Solution reports cylindrical shipments up 1.5 times year-on-year

LG Energy Solution said cylindrical battery shipments rose 1.5 times year on year as of the second quarter, driven by stable mass production and expanded deliveries of its 46-series cells. Sunghwan Oh, the company's Mobility & IT Battery Marketing Group Leader, said the partnership supports LG Energy Solution's plan to enter the broader U.S. commercial vehicle market spanning logistics, last-mile delivery, and ride-hailing.
