LG Energy Solution, indiGOtech Sign MoU for 46-Series EV Batteries

Seoul – September 30, 2026 -- LG Energy Solution has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with U.S. commercial EV startup indiGOtech to supply 46-series NCM cylindrical battery cells from 2027 to 2030, targeting indiGOtech's upcoming Flow Ride and Flow Cargo electric vans.

Deal targets commercial van platforms for logistics and ride-hailing

indiGOtech, headquartered in Woburn, Massachusetts, builds an integrated ecosystem combining electric commercial vans, charging infrastructure, and digital fleet services for the North American market. The battery supply agreement would underpin the company's Flow Ride and Flow Cargo vehicle lines, aimed at last-mile delivery, logistics, and ride-hailing fleets.

LG Energy Solution BESS Wins NVIDIA DSX Ready Qualification

Seoul – September 21, 2026 -- LG Energy Solution said its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) has qualified as NVIDIA DSX Ready BESS, a designation reserved for partner products meeting NVIDIA's DSX reference design requirements for AI factory power infrastructure.

Qualification targets AI data center power bottlenecks

The DSX Ready program certifies building blocks for NVIDIA's DSX AI Factory Platform, which unifies compute, networking, power, cooling, facilities and software for AI factories. LG Energy Solution's AC-coupled BESS meets NVIDIA's applicable AC energy storage requirements, addressing AI load smoothing, voltage ride-through and power reliability challenges that data center operators face when scaling capacity.

LG Energy Solution, Seoul National University Crack LMR Battery Gas Problem

Seoul – September 09, 2026 -- LG Energy Solution and Seoul National University have developed a voltage-control method that suppresses gas evolution in lithium manganese-rich (LMR) batteries, clearing a major barrier to commercializing the cobalt-free chemistry in large-format EV cells.

The joint research team, led by Professor Jongwoo Lim of Seoul National University's Department of Chemistry, published its findings in Nature Communications on September 7 Seoul time. LG Energy Solution announced the results the same day.

Optimized 40 Ah cells retained 92.2% of initial energy after 883 cycles

Researchers applied the new operating protocol to 40 Ah-class large-format LMR cells, which held onto 92.2 percent of their original energy capacity following 883 charge-discharge cycles. The result demonstrates cycle-life stability sufficient to move LMR materials beyond small-format applications and into large EV battery packs.
