Hangzhou, China – September 30, 2026 -- Hoymiles Power Electronics has launched HoyUltra 2000M, a commercial and industrial energy storage system that cuts required on-site construction work from an estimated 46 hours to 10 hours.
Integrated design shrinks system footprint by 15%
HoyUltra 2000M combines battery, power conversion system (PCS), thermal management, static transfer switch and fire protection into a single unit. Compared with a conventional setup using 10 storage containers in parallel, Hoymiles states the integrated design reduces system footprint by approximately 15% and lowers the volume of external equipment and on-site wiring needed.
System delivers up to 2.61 MWh with multi-voltage support
The MWh-level battery energy storage system (BESS) offers capacity up to 2.61 MWh and supports AC voltage classes of 400V, 690V and 800V, allowing deployment across varied electrical grids. It can integrate with photovoltaic arrays and diesel generators, targeting multi-energy applications such as combined PV-plus-wind projects.
Built-in switch maintains power within 20 milliseconds
A static transfer switch embedded in the system enables backup power switching in under 20 milliseconds, aimed at sustaining continuous supply to critical loads during grid interruptions.
Liquid cooling extends operating range to 55°C
Both the PCS and battery use liquid cooling, giving the system an operating temperature range of -30°C to 55°C while maintaining rated power output up to 50°C. Cabinet-level fire protection includes smoke and temperature detection, suppression systems, interlocked ventilation and compartment explosion relief.
Dr. Rex Zhu, General Manager of Hoymiles' Residential and C&I Storage Business Unit, said the design responds to a widening set of client requirements beyond raw storage capacity, citing electrical conditions, installation constraints, multi-energy integration, backup power needs and operating environment as factors driving the product's engineering.
