Aspocomp Gives Every PCB Customer a Dedicated Contact at Oulu Plant

Oulu – October 23, 2026 -- Aspocomp assigns every printed circuit board (PCB) customer a dedicated contact person, handled by a customer service team based at the company's Oulu factory.

Single contact handles each order from quotation to shipment

The team receives requests for quotation (RFQs), prepares offers, processes orders and tracks them until the boards ship. "From the customer's perspective, we are often the main contact point," said Maria Pasanen of the customer service team.

The team coordinates with sales, production and technical experts. It also monitors schedules and checks that documentation and specifications are handled correctly. Once the finished PCBs are ready, it notifies the customer that the delivery is on its way.

Factory-floor location speeds up order updates

Because the team works in Oulu, it can reach production information faster than teams based away from the manufacturing site, according to Pasanen. That allows quicker customer updates on order status.

Partner-manufactured orders follow the same service model

Seija Rajahalme, with Aspocomp for 14 years, handles the partner manufacturing side. She coordinates with external suppliers and related international logistics. The process is similar to in-house production, she said. Customers receive the same communication whether their boards are made in Oulu or at a partner site.

Team tenure runs from 2004 hires to recent arrivals

Kirsi Mäkiniemi has been with Aspocomp since 2004 and is the most experienced member. Antti Ahola joined five years ago, and Pasanen has been on the team for about three years. Pyry Alanen, the newest member, joined while colleague Kati Häikiö is on parental leave.

Mäkiniemi said that assigning customers to specific team members lets staff learn what information each customer needs and prioritizes. The team can then anticipate questions and respond faster.

Alanen expects AI tools to automate manual customer service tasks

Alanen said AI tools could automate some manual tasks in the future. That would free staff to spend more time serving customers and supporting their projects.
