Athena targets five European clients by December fiscal year-end

Amazon is supporting development through a funding agreement. Oslo – October 19, 2026 -- Bristow Group, Electra, Avinor and the Civil Aviation Authority of Norway (CAA Norway) will fly Electra's hybrid-electric EL2 technology demonstrator at five Norwegian locations, with the first demonstration flight planned for the third quarter of 2027.

The EL2 can take off and land in roughly 50 meters. It pairs electric propulsion with a turbogenerator running on sustainable aviation fuel. The partners say the project is meant to generate operational, regulatory and market knowledge for introducing electric and hybrid-electric aircraft.

Washington – October 19, 2026 -- SpaceX shares fell 10.17% last week, from $162.57 to $146.03, as Ukraine accused the company of capping Starlink speeds on military-relevant terminals and Washington denied ordering it. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said tests showed Starlink-equipped drones lost connection above roughly 100 mph inside Ukraine, while terminals moving at more than 112 mph inside the European Union worked normally. Chicago – October 19, 2026 -- Twenty-nine percent of U.S. consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturers say AI is embedded end to end in core operations, more than double the 13% global figure, according to new Schneider Electric data released at PACK EXPO International 2026.

The figures supplement Schneider Electric's earlier global report, "Beyond the Hype: Practical AI for Competitive Consumer Goods Manufacturing," which surveyed more than 1,400 executives worldwide. The new U.S. data comes from a representative Censuswide survey of 252 senior manufacturing decisionmakers.

In the U.S., 52% of CPG manufacturers have deployed AI across multiple sites or processes, versus 27% globally. By 2030, 67% of U.S. respondents expect AI to be core to their operations, compared with 37% of respondents worldwide.
