Boeing 787 Dreamliner operates thrice-weekly service between Fujian and the UK
The route marks the first direct passenger link between Fujian province and London, eliminating stopovers at intermediate destinations. XiamenAir will operate the service three times weekly on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. Flight MF821 departs Xiamen at 00:50 and arrives in London at 06:35, while the return flight MF822 leaves London at 12:35 and lands in Xiamen at 07:00 local time the following day.
Early morning arrival timing targets corporate travelers and European connections
The schedule is structured to support business travelers, with the early-morning Heathrow arrival allowing passengers to start their workday and connect to other European cities. The midday London departure enables passengers to catch domestic connections while reducing jet lag effects. XiamenAir also offers a 15-second customs clearance process at Xiamen airport to facilitate onward travel across the carrier's network.
