Virginia – – September 22, 2026 -- Virginia Housing has named Davon Gray and Michael Olivieri to its Board of Commissioners, the panel that sets policy, approves budgets and oversees operations for the state's public mortgage and housing finance authority.
Gray brings 25 years of advocacy and policy strategy to the board
Gray currently serves as Vice President of Policy for Purpose Built Communities. He previously held roles at the American Institute of Architects, including Managing Director of Advocacy and Engagement programs. A 12-year veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard and Reserves, Gray holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Southern Mississippi and a master's degree in public administration from DeVry University.
Olivieri adds nearly 30 years of real estate development experience
Olivieri serves as Senior Vice President at Associated Development Management Corp. His career spans close to three decades in real estate development, alongside civic work mentoring young people. He holds a bachelor's degree in finance from George Mason University.
Board composition includes state treasurer and housing department director
Virginia Housing's Board of Commissioners is appointed by the governor and includes the state treasurer and the director of the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development. The board's authority covers adoption of organizational policy, budget approval and oversight of Virginia Housing's operations, which finance mortgages for first-time homebuyers, rental development and neighborhood revitalization projects across the state without relying on state taxpayer funding.
