Changzhou – September 24, 2026 -- TrinaTracker has launched two robotic products, the BUILDEX PV Module Installation Robot and the AURORA PV Cleaning Robot, expanding its Smart PV Ecosystem beyond tracking hardware into automated construction and operations technology.
BUILDEX installs up to 90 modules per hour, cutting labor and construction timelines
The robot uses industrial 3D cameras and AI vision algorithms to achieve millimeter-accurate module alignment, operating three to four times faster than manual labor. A LiDAR-AI multi-sensing safety system reduces on-site risk, while a height-adjustable base with 17-degree platform levelling allows deployment on fixed and tracking brackets, 1P/2P modules, and sloped terrain. The unit runs continuously, unaffected by fatigue or weather, to shorten installation cycles and lower overall construction costs.
AURORA cleaning robot tolerates 50mm height offsets on complex sites
AURORA addresses dust and soiling losses that reduce long-term energy yield at PV plants. Proprietary self-correction algorithms let it sustain continuous cleaning despite surface irregularities of up to 50 millimeters, while real-time data from plant trackers and environmental sensors drives autonomous route planning and proactive risk avoidance. The unit is powered by self-cleaning PV modules, enabling unattended, cyclic operation that lowers routine O&M labor and expense.
TrinaTracker repositions from tracker supplier to full-stack robotics and AI provider
The launch builds on a shift TrinaTracker began earlier this year, moving from a tracking-equipment supplier toward a Smart PV and Robotics Solution Provider under its "Tracker+" ecosystem. The company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Trina Solar Co., Ltd. (SHA: 688599), now combines trackers, AI algorithms, installation and cleaning robots, and engineering and O&M services into a single lifecycle offering for plant owners. Operational data from TrinaTracker's global tracker portfolio feeds ongoing AI algorithm refinement, and robot data integrates with Trina's digital platform, linking physical assets to digital twins intended to lower plant LCOE.
