Denver – September 30, 2026 -- TrackVia has expanded its Field Operations Intelligence platform with a new artificial intelligence layer called IRIS, enterprise AI connectivity, a rebuilt Android application and a modernized web interface, targeting organizations managing complex field operations across construction, manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality, education and government.
Skilled-trade labor shortage drives platform upgrade
An August 2026 Lightcast analysis found roughly three open skilled-trade jobs for every qualified worker available to fill them. TrackVia CEO Aylin Basom said the company is responding to that gap by investing across AI, mobility, user experience, integrations and enterprise readiness rather than adding a single AI feature.
TrackVia IRIS lets users query operational data in natural language
The new AI layer allows users to ask questions about operational data and receive answers directly inside TrackVia, without navigating multiple dashboards or waiting for manual analysis. IRIS operates within TrackVia's existing permissions model, restricting access to information users are already authorized to view.
Model Context Protocol support connects TrackVia to Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini
TrackVia now supports Model Context Protocol (MCP), enabling organizations to securely link their TrackVia environment with external AI assistants they already use. One TrackVia customer said the MCP capability allowed them to build and refine a new fleet management application in 20 minutes. TrackVia positions itself as the operational system of record while customers choose how to deploy AI tools on top of it.
Rebuilt Android app targets field teams working with limited connectivity
TrackVia rebuilt its Android application on a modern technical foundation to improve performance and reliability for field employees at construction sites, manufacturing plants and other remote locations. The app retains TrackVia's offline functionality, allowing work to continue when connectivity is limited, and extends the company's modernized interface to mobile users on both Android and iOS.
Refreshed web experience preserves custom configuration capability
TrackVia rolled out a redesigned web experience built from customer feedback, offering simpler navigation while retaining the platform's ability to configure applications around an organization's existing processes rather than forcing standardized workflows.
