Arlington, Va. – September 16, 2026 -- Bloomberg Tax & Accounting has projected a 3.2% inflation increase for 2027, up from the 2.7% rise recorded for 2026, according to its newly released 2027 Projected U.S. Tax Rates report.
Bureau of Labor Statistics data gap forces 11-month calculation method
The Bureau of Labor Statistics failed to report October 2025 data, an unprecedented lapse that required Bloomberg Tax to compute the Chained Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (C-CPI-U) using an 11-month average instead of the standard 12-month period.
