Syntegon Unveils Automated Packaging and Glove-Free Pharmaceutical Filling Platforms at interpack 2026

SHERIDAN, WYOMING - May 10, 2026 - Syntegon has announced the introduction of its next-generation manufacturing platforms under the "Factory of the Future" concept. These systems directly target automation and efficiency demands across the food, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology sectors. Presenting at the interpack 2026 trade fair, the company is demonstrating how new robotic, digital, and artificial intelligence-supported systems can minimize operator intervention. The operational rollout highlights the new neXt and SVX platforms for high-speed food packaging, alongside the SynTiso glove-free isolator line for liquid pharmaceutical filling. These integrated systems are engineered to help facility operators navigate stricter regulatory requirements while actively increasing overall equipment effectiveness and production flexibility.

Automated Food Packaging Operations

To address shifting consumer demands and labor shortages within the food industry, Syntegon has launched the neXt system solution. This specialized platform integrates contactless control systems and real-time data monitoring to drive optimized overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). The user interface is engineered to require significantly less operator training while enabling faster setup times across diverse product portfolios. By automating routine plant operations, the system allows floor personnel to focus on higher-value manufacturing tasks and minimizes unplanned mechanical downtime.

High-Speed Vertical Bagging Architecture

For high-volume production environments, the company introduced the SVX vertical packaging platform. This machine is capable of processing 300 bags per minute, a speed metric that directly lowers the operational cost per unit. In addition to its high output, the system features rapid format changeovers to maintain maximum line availability when switching between different bag configurations. The platform utilizes a patented technology designed to reduce overall packaging material consumption by up to 50 percent. Furthermore, its highly compact physical footprint allows manufacturers to increase productivity per square meter without requiring physical expansion of their existing facility space.

Glove-Free Pharmaceutical Filling Technology

In response to stringent contamination regulations governing the production of injectable biologics, Syntegon developed the SynTiso platform. The engineering phase for this equipment was executed in direct collaboration with two major pharmaceutical companies. The system introduces a glove-free isolator technology paired with a fully robotic operational sequence. A contactless transport mechanism effectively eliminates the need for manual human intervention during the sensitive liquid drug filling process. Operationally, the SynTiso line delivers a 50 percent reduction in setup times while yielding higher product output per batch.

Lifecycle Services and AI Integration

Beyond the deployment of physical machinery, the company is emphasizing its comprehensive lifecycle services to support these advanced manufacturing assets. Qualified service engineers provide on-site technical support to maintain equipment reliability and secure high production availability. To future-proof capital investments, the service model includes continuous production line upgrades powered by artificial intelligence-supported data analytics. This targeted engineering approach is structured to accelerate market entry and generate a maximized return on investment for facility operators.

Corporate Scale and Event Presence

The integrated manufacturing solutions will be displayed at Booth A31-B31 in Hall 6 during the interpack 2026 exhibition. Syntegon currently supports an active installed base of more than 70,000 systems globally. This technical infrastructure is backed by a corporate workforce of 7,300 employees operating across 49 international locations. Following the conclusion of the 2025 fiscal year, the technology provider reported global revenues reaching 1.75 billion euros.
