Munich and Oldenburg, Germany – September 19, 2026 -- Sungrow Deutschland GmbH and be.storaged GmbH have signed a framework agreement to jointly deliver battery energy storage system (BESS) projects with a planned pipeline of 1.6 GWh over the next two years in Germany.
Framework agreement standardizes gigawatt-hour scale storage delivery
The deal extends an existing partnership between the two companies, setting standardized processes, coordinated technical solutions, and early joint planning to accelerate project execution and cut coordination requirements. Dr Magnus Pielke, Managing Director of be.storaged, said the agreement establishes a long-term partnership enabling both firms to standardize BESS projects at gigawatt-hour scale and respond faster to regulatory changes.
be.storaged handles EPC delivery while Sungrow supplies storage technology
be.storaged acts as EPC service provider, covering development, planning, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational support of battery storage projects. Sungrow contributes battery energy storage systems, power electronics, and related services as an international manufacturer.
Sungrow to deploy PowerTitan 3.0 system across joint projects
The partnership will increasingly integrate Sungrow's PowerTitan 3.0 large-scale battery storage system, which packs a 1.78 MW PCS with 7.14 MWh of battery capacity into a 20-foot container and can scale up to 28.5 MWh. The framework agreement creates the organizational and technical structure for integrating such innovations into joint projects at an early stage.
Pipeline targets 1.6 GWh to support German grid flexibility
The planned 1.6 GWh of joint battery storage capacity is intended to support integration of renewable energy and provide flexibility to the German power system by balancing generation and consumption. Moritz Rolf, Vice President and Regional Manager DACH, Benelux, Nordics and Turkey at Sungrow Europe, said the framework agreement builds on trust and technical expertise developed over the companies' long-standing cooperation in the German energy storage market.
Corinna Petznik, Supplier Management at be.storaged, said standardized technical solutions and defined processes will reduce coordination effort and shorten feedback loops, benefiting project teams and customers who depend on reliability, quality, and speed in storage project delivery.
