The plant, native to South America and traditionally used by Andean healers as a digestive aid and antispasmodic remedy, now anchors three of SUANNUTRA's branded ingredients: Metabolaid®, RelaxPLX®, and Elissara®. Company diversifies cultivation across multiple Valencia microclimates to cut supply risk
SUANNUTRA has spread growing operations across different farms and microclimates within the Valencia region to reduce dependency on a single site. Drip irrigation and soil-covering techniques support water efficiency, while partnerships with specialized nurseries ensure plant quality before field transfer.
Multidisciplinary partner network links agronomists, nurseries and quality teams
The project brings together local growers, agronomists, specialized nurseries and SUANNUTRA's internal technical and quality units. Leaves are dried and handled under controlled conditions before extraction and standardization of active compounds, then tested against specifications for use in SUANNUTRA's science-based ingredients. Guillén-Díaz said the integration of cultivation, technical supervision, extraction and quality control gives customers "an ingredient backed by a controlled origin, a defined process and a consistent quality profile."
