United States – – September 30, 2026 -- Smart Shooter has secured a new contract from the U.S. Joint Interagency Task Force 401 (JIATF-401) under a framework valued at up to $150 million for future delivery orders, expanding the company's footprint in the U.S. counter-drone market.
Contract Supports Domestic Shield Program Against Drone Threats
The award backs JIATF-401's Domestic Shield Program and related global missions, covering force protection, base defense, and counter-UAS requirements both domestically and overseas. Scope includes hardware, software updates, training, and support services, with the volume and timing of future orders set through individual delivery orders.
SMASH Fire Control Systems Turn Standard Rifles Into Counter-Drone Tools
Smart Shooter's SMASH systems combine artificial intelligence, computer vision, and target-tracking algorithms to mount on standard service rifles. The system tracks targets, calculates firing solutions, and synchronizes shot release while preserving the weapon's normal use against ground targets. Operators retain engagement decisions, and the system can integrate with external sensors and battle management platforms.
Award Follows March 2026 Contract and Multi-Service Deployment
This agreement builds on an earlier Smart Shooter contract with JIATF-401 announced in March 2026, part of a broader series of new and follow-on awards the company secured over the past year supporting the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps. Thousands of SMASH systems are already fielded across U.S. military branches.
"This award, and the framework it provides for future orders of up to $150 million, marks a significant milestone in the expansion of our activity in the U.S. defense market,
