Stockholm – October 12, 2026 -- Nadine Crauwels, President of Sandvik's Machining business area since 2020, is leaving the group after 26 years, with the company aiming to name a successor before the end of 2026.
Crauwels stays in post until a successor takes over
Crauwels, who joined Sandvik in 2000, will remain in her position until a replacement is in place. She will then continue for a period in an advisory role to ensure a smooth transition. Sandvik has already started the recruitment process.
Departure follows a career spanning Sandvik Coromant and Group Executive Management
Before leading the Machining business area, Crauwels held several senior leadership positions at Sandvik, including President of Sandvik Coromant. She has also been a member of the Group Executive Management.
CEO Widing credits improved resilience and ties timing to a new five-year strategy
Stefan Widing, President and CEO of Sandvik, said Crauwels led the Machining business through a challenging period with significantly improved business resilience while driving a strategic agenda to capture future growth opportunities. Widing said both sides agree the timing is right, as Sandvik is at the beginning of a new strategic period that will last the next five years.
Crauwels is leaving to pursue a new phase in her career outside Sandvik.
