Robo.ai Plans UAE Composites Unit With 10M Sq M Capacity

Dubai – October 12, 2026 -- Robo.ai Inc. (Nasdaq: AIIO) plans to set up ALIF Composites in the UAE with a targeted annual capacity of 10 million square meters of composite raw materials in 2027, with production due to start in Q4 2026.

ALIF Holding, Robo.ai's majority-owned subsidiary, will establish ALIF Composites as a majority-owned subsidiary. The unit is meant to expand the Group's advanced manufacturing business.

ALIF Composites targets the Umm Al Quwain industrial park, where Phase I broke ground on September 25, 2026

ALIF Composites plans to operate at the ALIF Holding Group Industrial Park in Umm Al Quwain. Its planned portfolio covers carbon fiber composites, prepregs, custom components and engineering services. Target customers are in the marine, mobility, energy and industrial sectors.

Materials supply and custom manufacturing are intended to support regional business development.

ALIF Holding focuses on converting capacity into batch deliveries and recurring supply revenue

The project aims to combine materials manufacturing with engineered product delivery and to complement ALIF Maritec's planned intelligent systems business. ALIF Holding will concentrate on production readiness, product validation and customer development. Its objective is to turn manufacturing capabilities into batch deliveries and recurring supply business, a new source of growth for Robo.ai.

Robo.ai ties formation and output to site arrangements, funding, permits and commissioning

The company states that formation and production depend on site arrangements, funding, permits, commissioning and operational readiness. It describes the 10 million square meter figure as planned annual manufacturing capability, not a commitment to 2027 production, sales or revenue.

Robo.ai lists commissioning, product mix, yield, utilization, demand, competition, supply chains and trade and export controls as factors that could change results. It also cites its financial condition and limited operating history in its current business.
