New York – September 30, 2026 -- Direct-to-patient healthcare company Ro presented the first real-world evidence on Novo Nordisk's oral Wegovy pill at the EASD2026 meeting in Milan on September 30, based on outcomes from patients on its platform who switched from an injectable GLP-1.

The short oral session study, co-authored by Ro clinical advisors Dr. Beverly Tchang and Dr. Louis Aronne, tracked patients with overweight or obesity who transitioned from an injectable GLP-1 and remained persistent with the Wegovy pill for three months on Ro's platform.
Novo and Ro deepen partnership dating to April 2025 launch
Ro has worked with Novo since April 2025, launching the Wegovy pill nationwide on day one of its market availability and offering multi-month savings options as part of Novo's direct-to-patient expansion strategy. The new research collaboration extends that relationship from patient access into structured real-world data collection.

Ro and Novo plan to present further first-of-its-kind research during ObesityWeek 2026, running November 14-17, covering patient demographics seeking Wegovy pill treatment along with real-world weight loss, food noise, and quality-of-life outcomes.

Ro cited a separate peer-reviewed study showing patients on its platform treated with FDA-approved semaglutide achieved weight loss outcomes and a safety profile consistent with clinical trial results.
