Louisville – October 17, 2026 -- RedTag, an independent Louisville marketing agency founded in 2008, has repositioned itself from a digital performance agency into a strategy-first marketing partner and launched outcome-based programs for clients.
RedTag bets strategy, not execution speed, will differentiate clients
The agency is wagering that AI-driven gains in production speed will make strategy the scarcer asset. Founder and CEO Russ Renbarger said AI can produce hundreds of ads in an afternoon but cannot identify which one a brand needs. Clients can now choose from outcome-based programs matched to their marketing needs.
RedTag built its reputation on paid digital campaigns and later added strategy, creative, video production and website development.
Automation team embeds AI across agency operations under internal policy
A team of automation specialists has integrated AI across the agency to accelerate production and analysis. An internal AI policy keeps staff accountable for quality. RedTag says the time saved is redirected into strategy: what to say, to whom and why.
Chief Client Officer Alison Conway said the change extends to every client the strategic partnership the agency has had with its best accounts.
RedTag co-hosts PROOF AI Workshop with three Louisville partners on Oct. 14
RedTag co-hosted the PROOF AI Workshop with Slingshot, Vsimple and Advanced Business Solutions. The hands-on event gave Louisville business leaders practical experience applying AI to their own work. RedTag led the AI in Marketing and Branding track, which comprised four sessions ranging from AI search optimization to a playbook for adopting AI across an organization.
Kentucky agency-of-record status anchors a client roster that includes PGA of America
RedTag was named agency of record for the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 2025. Its clients include PGA of America, Castle & Key Distillery, Bourbon Barrel Foods, ShopCaterpillar and American Beverage Marketers. Since 2023, its work has won two Emmy Awards and more than 35 ADDY and AIGA awards.
