QuVa Pharma Acquires CAPS' 503B Compounding Portfolio

Sugar Land, Texas – September 11, 2026 -- QuVa Pharma, Inc. has acquired a portfolio of essential sterile compounded medications from Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc. (CAPS) after CAPS decided to exit the 503B sterile compounding business, the companies announced.

QuVa to phase in acquired products starting later in 2026

QuVa expects to begin introducing selected products from the acquired portfolio in phases later in 2026, with plans to expand offerings over the following six months. The deal covers critical medication categories including Cardioplegia, Total Parenteral Nutrition and Heparin.

B. Braun cites continuity of supply for hospitals dependent on CAPS products

Michael Parden, Chief Executive Officer of B. Braun of America, said the transition supports continuity of supply for patients and providers who depend on the affected medications. B. Braun, headquartered in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, operates CAPS as part of its U.S. group of companies.

Quva operates 200,000 sq. ft. of FDA-registered manufacturing capacity

Quva runs more than 200,000 square feet of FDA-registered 503B manufacturing facilities in New Jersey and Texas, alongside 100,000 square feet of forward distribution centers in Texas and Arizona. The company already serves more than 3,500 hospitals and health system customers nationwide with its sterile compounded medication portfolio.

Quva CEO frames deal as investment in scarce, hard-to-produce medication categories

Stuart Hinchen, Chief Executive Officer of Quva, said health systems depend on prepared medications that are essential to patient care but difficult to produce reliably at scale. He said the acquisition reflects investment in specialized products, manufacturing capabilities, quality systems, distribution infrastructure, technology and personnel to support these critical medication categories.

Quva commits to employment opportunities for CAPS staff

Parden noted Quva's commitment to providing employment opportunities for CAPS colleagues currently supporting local 503B sterile compounding operations as part of the transition.
