Toronto – September 17, 2026 -- PTX Metals Inc. (TSXV: PTX) (OTCQB: PANXF) (Frankfurt: 9PX) has recommenced a 5,000 metre diamond drilling program at its W2 Copper-Nickel-PGE Project in northwestern Ontario, targeting the CA1 Zone after an eight-month pause tied to First Nations engagement.
Drilling restarts in W2's underexplored Central area following January 2026 suspension
The Company paused field activity in January 2026 to allow additional community discussions before resuming work under a recently extended exploration permit. Concurrent soil sampling and prospecting programs are running through summer and fall across the Central area, T-Target, Lake Rowell and North Limb zones to refine drilling targets ahead of a detailed exploration strategy expected in coming weeks.
CA1 Zone testing focuses on Cu-Ni mineralization within the Landsdowne House Igneous Complex
The current program tests a copper-nickel zone in the south-southeastern portion of the property, within a gabbroic 'Middle Zone' that historic drilling has linked to the bulk of magmatic Cu-Ni mineralization on the western half of the W2 property. PTX describes two mineralization styles consistent with gravitational sulphide segregation processes seen in layered intrusions such as Bushveld in South Africa and the Ring of Fire intrusions in northwestern Ontario.
First Nations engagement continues alongside a signed letter of intent
PTX has directly engaged First Nation communities connected to the W2 project area over the past four years, in parallel with a Crown consultation process. A signed letter of intent with one community outlines ongoing communication and initial employment opportunities. On July 10, 2026, CEO Greg Ferron and PTX team members attended a community meeting with a separate First Nation's Chief and Council, Elders and members to discuss the project's early-stage work, environmental practices and local business participation.
