Prime Minute Raises $15M to Build AI-Driven Wildfire Suppression System

Palo Alto, Calif. – September 24, 2026 -- Prime Minute emerged from stealth with $15 million in pre-seed funding led by Eclipse, with participation from 8VC, to build what it calls the first global resilience prime for natural disaster response.

Wildfires cost the US an estimated $424 billion annually, driving urgency for faster response

The company's initial product targets rapid initial attack against wildfires, addressing gaps in detection, coordination, and suppression that determine whether a fire is contained early or escalates into a major disaster. The system combines real-time intelligence, AI-assisted mission analysis, and precision aerial suppression capabilities designed to operate during high winds, nighttime incidents, degraded visual environments, and when ground crews cannot reach a scene.

Founding team draws from Palantir, Forterra, and Datorios

Prime Minute was built by leaders with backgrounds in public service, aerospace, and national security. Gabe Sganga, Chief Growth Officer and co-founder, said the first hour of an incident often determines its ultimate impact, and that most disaster resources are still mobilized only after damage occurs.

Colorado to host prototype field evaluation later this year

The company is working with the State of Colorado to deploy prototypes of its wildfire suppression capability for field testing. Funding will support continued technology development, local manufacturing, team expansion, and testing and validation activities.

Eclipse frames the investment as infrastructure resilience, not a point solution

Lior Susan, founder and CEO of Eclipse, said meeting the threat natural disasters pose to communities, the economy, and critical infrastructure requires an end-to-end system integrating technology and operations rather than isolated tools. Eclipse manages over $12 billion in regulatory assets and invests in companies building the physical economy.
