Wiesbaden – September 07, 2026 -- Panasonic Connect Europe has introduced a suite of broadcast and ProAV upgrades, including two new control panels for its KAIROS video production platform and an automatic colour-matching function for its Image Adjust Pro software, targeting production teams handling complex, large-scale live events.
New KAIROS control panels target large-scale live productions
The AT-KP340 panel offers 12 Buses and 40 Crosspoint Buttons, while the AT-KP330 provides 12 Buses and 30 Crosspoint Buttons, both designed for managing complex live production switching. Large touch panels on each Bus row give operators direct access to snapshots and macros, reducing fatigue during extended broadcasts. The AT-KP340 is scheduled for release in Q2 CY2027, followed by the AT-KP330 in Q3 CY2027.
Image Adjust Pro adds automatic colour-matching across camera brands
Panasonic's Image Adjust Pro Media Production Suite plug-in will gain an automatic colour-matching function that aligns multiple cameras to a single reference camera without specialist colour-grading expertise. The update removes manual adjustment of gamma, matrix and colour correction settings during on-location setup. While only Panasonic cameras support this reference-based adjustment, the reference camera itself can be a third-party model, allowing mixed-brand production environments to standardize output. The update is scheduled for release in Q4 CY2026 and will support the upcoming AW-UE200 and AW-UER200 PTZ cameras.
4K studio cameras get firmware-based colour tools for LED wall shoots
The AK-UCX100 studio camera and AK-UBX100 multi-purpose camera will receive new colour adjustment functions via firmware update in Q4 CY2026, aimed at productions using LED walls, virtual sets and broadcast studios. The Color Temp. Blend function merges colour temperature data from LED walls and stage lighting to calculate optimal white balance, aligning real-world subjects with LED wall footage.
Target Color Correction lets operators isolate a specific colour and adjust hue and saturation independently, useful for correcting corporate brand colours or sponsor logos on LED displays, with support for up to three simultaneous colour tables. A separate Chroma Suppression function reduces colour shift and saturation spikes in highly saturated visuals, addressing challenges shooting vivid computer-generated LED content at live events such as concerts.
Panasonic notes several features remain under development, with specifications, supported models and release dates subject to change.
