Oracle Launches AI-Powered Oncology EHR for Cancer Care Teams

Orlando, Fla. – September 23, 2026 -- Oracle unveiled Oracle Health Oncology EHR, a new ambulatory electronic health record system purpose-built for cancer care, combining oncology-specific workflows with AI-driven clinical intelligence at the Oracle Health and Life Sciences Summit.

Oracle targets fragmented oncology data with unified patient timelines

The platform is designed to consolidate cancer diagnoses, chemotherapy regimens, laboratory and imaging results, medications, referrals, and insurance requirements into a single chronological record spanning inpatient and outpatient settings. Oracle states that fragmented information currently forces clinicians to spend time reassembling patient context while patients repeatedly recount their medical history across care settings.

Embedded AI agents to support Tumor Board prep and treatment planning

Oracle Health's AI assistant is intended to generate patient snapshots and pre-visit summaries highlighting clinical changes, alongside specialized tools for Tumor Board preparation and guideline-grounded treatment planning. The company said the assistant is expected to carry clinical decisions directly into orders, referrals, documentation, and coding workflows. Oracle described a broader roadmap for role-based AI assistants serving nurses, patients, care coordinators, and researchers across the multidisciplinary cancer care team.

Planned features include precision oncology insights and dose-tracking tools

Among the capabilities outlined: connected worklists for nurse navigators to support coordination from diagnosis through survivorship, and precision oncology insights unifying genomic, radiology, pathology, laboratory, pharmacy, and social determinants of health data. Oracle said this data foundation is intended to support future capabilities including treatment pathway guidance, predictive analytics, clinical trial matching, and cost comparisons. Regimen planning workflows are designed to simplify chemotherapy and immunotherapy ordering with lifetime cumulative-dose calculations, mobile ordering, and treatment-response documentation.

"A cancer diagnosis changes everything for patients and their families. Care teams should not be slowed down by fragmented information, lack of clinical insights, and antiquated technology," said Seema Verma, executive vice president and general manager of Oracle Health and Life Sciences.

Oracle characterized the announcement as outlining general product direction rather than a firm delivery commitment, noting that the development, release, timing, and pricing of the described features remain at the company's discretion.
