Sydney – September 09, 2026 -- Nuix has made its Generative AI capabilities generally available in Nuix Discover SaaS as of September 4, adding Document Summaries, Similar Documents, Semantic Search, Clustering and Visualizations to its legal review and eDiscovery platform.
Nuix launches AI Chat in Early Adopter release, targeting full availability in December 2026
The new conversational tool lets reviewers, attorneys and investigators query case data in natural language and receive synthesized answers sourced directly from document content. Every response includes citations to source documents, and all interactions are logged to create a court-ready audit trail.
"AI Chat lets teams simply ask questions and get answers grounded in their case data; answers that are defensible and auditable. That's the standard the legal profession demands, and it's what sets Nuix apart," said Ilona Meyer, Executive Vice President, Nuix Discover.
Gen AI tools now span early case assessment through full document review
Document Summaries generate a plain-language synopsis of each file at ingestion, allowing reviewers to quickly interpret lengthy contracts, attachments and email threads. Similar Documents automatically surfaces materials with comparable meaning based on those summaries, while Semantic Search locates responsive content by meaning rather than exact keyword matches, reducing the risk of missed documents that use different phrasing.
Clustering and Visualizations group documents by meaning and map them visually, giving review teams an early view of a collection's composition, including key issues, concentrations, outliers and relationships between clusters. Meyer said the tools are embedded in both early case assessment and full review workflows, letting teams triage matters faster and decide what to escalate with greater confidence.
On-premises rollout scheduled for next quarter as SaaS deployment goes live
Document Summaries, Semantic Search, Similar Documents, AI Clustering and Visualizations are now generally available for Nuix Discover SaaS customers, with on-premises availability planned for the next quarter. AI Chat remains in Early Adopter status, with general availability targeted for December 2026.
