New York – September 23, 2026 -- Newmark Group has arranged a $482.5 million loan to finance The Stockman, Auberge Collection, an ultra-luxury ski-in, ski-out resort that recently broke ground in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The financing was provided by GoldenTree Asset Management, a global asset manager with approximately $70 billion in assets under management, on behalf of developer Stockman Development LLC, led by Marquee Development.

Resort will pair 95 branded residences with a 59-key luxury hotel
The Stockman will operate under the Auberge Resorts Collection brand and includes direct ski access to Steamboat Mountain, a spa, pool, multiple dining venues, an owners' lounge and private terraces. OZ Architecture is designing the building, with interiors by Nunzio Marc DeSantis Architects; Berkshire Hathaway is handling residential sales.
Project follows Alterra's $250 million reinvestment in Steamboat Resort
The Stockman marks one of the first luxury resort developments in Steamboat Springs and extends Alterra's "Full Steam Ahead" reinvestment program, which has already funneled $250 million into upgrading the ski mountain's infrastructure and positioning it as a year-round destination.
