NCL GT20 Opens 18-Match Caribbean Edition on Oct. 23 With CBC GEM

Mississauga – October 21, 2026 -- NCL GT20 will launch its 18-match Caribbean Edition 2026 at Arnos Vale Stadium in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Friday, October 23, backed by four named commercial sponsors and an expanded international broadcast and streaming network that includes CBC GEM.

Toronto Kings face Vancouver Guardians in the 7 p.m. opener

The opening match starts at 7 p.m. local time (Atlantic Standard Time, UTC−4). The tournament runs through the championship final on November 2, with October 27 set as a rest day. All matches are played at Arnos Vale Stadium.

Dafabet, Coca-Cola, Powerade and Grace Good Move sign on as sponsors

The league has confirmed all four as official tournament sponsors. It says broadcast and platform availability will vary by territory and advises fans to check local listings and official NCL GT20 channels.

League frames broadcast deals as a route to wider reach

Gaurav Dewani, Head of Partnerships at NCL GT20, said the broadcast relationships are "about more than distribution." He said they are meant to widen access to cricket and raise the profile of emerging talent. Dewani added that the league's Canadian roots remain central to its identity while it expands into international markets.

NCL GT20 describes the event as a link between Canada's growing cricket community and the Caribbean. It says the format will put emerging Canadian and Caribbean players alongside internationally recognized stars, with a focus on competitive exposure and mentorship.

Host destination expects spillover for tourism and event services

The league says hosting in St. Vincent and the Grenadines will showcase the destination's cricket heritage, culture and natural beauty to international audiences. It also expects activity in hospitality, tourism, transportation and event services.
