MSC Income Fund Names Nicholas Meserve CEO, Effective Q4 2026

Houston – October 12, 2026 -- MSC Income Fund (NYSE: MSIF) plans to hand the CEO role to Nicholas T. Meserve in the fourth quarter of 2026, while Dwayne L. Hyzak, Chairman and CEO since October 2020, stays on as Executive Chairman.

Hyzak to work alongside Meserve as Executive Chairman

Hyzak will work closely with Meserve in his Executive Chairman capacity. The Fund's board of directors designed the transition as part of its long-term succession plan. The timing is described as presently planned, so it remains subject to change.

Meserve has led private loan strategy since the Fund's inception

Meserve is a Managing Director of MSC Income and group head of its private credit investment team. He has held the Managing Director role since 2020. Earlier, he served on the Fund's Board from 2016 until 2020.

He leads the team's sourcing, origination and execution of new investments, and manages the Fund's portfolio of private loan and middle market investments. He also sits on the investment committees of Main Street Capital Corporation (NYSE: MAIN) and MSC Adviser I, LLC, a wholly owned Main Street subsidiary that serves as the Fund's investment adviser and administrator. At Main Street and the Adviser, he holds management responsibility over the private credit investment teams and their portfolios of private loan and middle market investments.

Fund went public in 2025 and narrowed focus to private loans

Hyzak said Meserve has been central to the Fund's growth over the last six years. In that period the Fund went public in 2025 and focused its investment strategy on private loans. Meserve has been involved in Main Street's private loan strategy since joining its investment team in 2012.

Before Main Street, Meserve worked at Highland Capital Management, LP, where he managed a portfolio of senior loans and high yield bonds across diverse industries. Earlier, he was a Credit Analyst at JP Morgan Chase & Co.

Fund targets private loan borrowers with $25 million to $500 million in revenue

The Fund's private loan portfolio companies generally have annual revenues between $25 million and $500 million. Its lower middle market portfolio companies generally report annual revenues between $10 million and $150 million.
