Brookfield, Wis. – September 30, 2026 -- Milwaukee Tool has joined the Alliance for America's Skilled Trades and projects its cumulative U.S. workforce development investment will exceed $200 million by 2030, based on spending since 2010 and plans through the decade's end.
Milwaukee Tool backs more than 16,000 apprentices annually across the country
The company currently supports over 16,000 apprentices enrolled in skilled trades programs, working with more than 1,300 training centers and 25 national union and non-union partners nationwide.
Alliance brings together 14 major U.S. employers to close the trades gap
Founded in 2026, the Alliance for America's Skilled Trades now counts AT&T, Barton Malow, BlackRock, Carhartt, Cintas, DEWALT, Ford Motor Company, Google, The Hershey Company, ManpowerGroup, Meta's America's Workforce Academy, Microsoft, Milwaukee Tool and Verizon among its members, coordinating efforts to expand apprenticeships and training access.

Trade associations cite decade-long partnerships with mechanical and electrical contractors
Curtis Harbour, President of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America, pointed to Milwaukee Tool's direct engagement with mechanical trades as evidence of sustained investment in education and workforce development. David Long, CEO of the National Electrical Contractors Association, credited the company's continued funding of training and career pathways for electrical contractors.
Milwaukee Tool's U.S. footprint has grown to 34 facilities and 11,000-plus employees
Over the past decade, Milwaukee Tool has invested more than $2 billion in its U.S. operations and added over 4,000 American jobs in the past five years. The company, a subsidiary of Techtronic Industries Co. Ltd., now employs more than 11,000 people across 34 U.S. facilities spanning manufacturing, R&D, engineering, distribution and service operations headquartered in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
