A standard HID protocol now allows BLE smart rings and similar accessories to connect directly to One Glass, adding button, touch and gesture input alongside voice, temple buttons and head gestures. MemoMind has partnered with Kiwear as a flagship hardware partner so ring-controlled glasses work out of the box.
Users Gain Custom RSS Feeds and Coding-Agent Access on the Glasses
The update adds support for user-managed RSS 2.0 and Atom 1.0 feeds, letting wearers pull in their own publications rather than relying solely on platform-curated news. A new Memo Agent feature from Memo Labs lets users securely view and lightly control a coding agent directly from the glasses. Additional changes include four-line notifications, single-image saving for long-form content such as daily podcast recaps, switchable front-facing or omnidirectional audio pickup, two-way calendar sync with conflict handling, and consistent privacy controls across calendar, search and Memo AI.
App Workspace Enters Closed Beta in October for Whitelisted Developers
MemoMind confirmed that its App Workspace will enter closed beta in October, allowing developers to install and run their own apps locally on the MemoMind app and on the glasses hardware. Access opens by whitelist invitation through sign-up via MemoMind's developer community, with the first batch of invited builders conducting real-device testing and seed-app development.
Two Developer Tracks Already Live on GitHub
Developer access remains open through two tracks on GitHub: the One Glass SDK, which lets developers build native C plugins or web plugins using the glasses' HUD, microphone, speaker and gyro, and the BLE Input Protocol, which lets third-party rings, bands and remotes report buttons, touch and gestures directly to the glasses. A desktop Studio ships with a built-in simulator, working example apps including Breakout and 2048, and full documentation.
