Los Angeles – September 25, 2026 -- MeetKai is rolling out a sovereign AI stack built on NVIDIA accelerated computing across six countries -- Brazil, Ukraine, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Bangladesh -- home to more than 700 million people, following a public-tender win in Brazil and plans for the first national-scale AI factory in Ukraine.
SERPRO awards MeetKai Brasil the top score in Brazil's national sovereign AI tender
MeetKai Brasil won the public tender run by SERPRO, Brazil's federal government IT company, to deploy a sovereign AI platform and locally trained models on NVIDIA accelerated computing inside the country. The deployment includes a sovereign coding agent for secure workflows and targets regulated sectors -- banks, insurers, energy companies and state-owned enterprises -- whose regulators require workloads to remain under Brazilian control.
Kyivstar and MeetKai plan Ukraine's first national-scale AI factory, scaling to 100 MW
MeetKai and Kyivstar, the majority-owned Ukrainian subsidiary of VEON (Nasdaq: VEON), will build a sovereign AI data center with first capacity planned for 2027. The facility is designed to expand from 15 MW to 100 MW as demand from the public sector and Ukrainian industry grows, running NVIDIA reference architecture and Ukrainian-language models trained and hosted entirely inside the country. Ukrainian ministries, energy and transport operators, banks and defense-adjacent civil agencies are expected to run fully air-gapped AI deployments on their own data.
VEON's five-market footprint of 150 million mobile and 225 million digital customers anchors regional expansion
Beyond Ukraine, MeetKai will operate as VEON's AI lab-as-a-service across Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Bangladesh, partnering with each local operator. MeetKai and its partners will train local engineers at every site to run and extend the infrastructure, aiming to keep AI operational skills inside each country's workforce.
James Kaplan, co-founder and CEO of MeetKai, said building a sovereign AI stack that keeps infrastructure and models entirely in-country is difficult once and harder to repeat six times, but NVIDIA's accelerated computing platform makes the design repeatable across markets.
