Newark – September 22, 2026 -- Medscape has expanded its strategic partnership with the Brazilian Society of Clinical Oncology (SBOC) under a new two-year agreement to widen access to global oncology insights for physicians across Brazil.
Two-year deal targets Portuguese-language oncology content for Brazilian clinicians
The agreement will focus on developing and publishing Portuguese-language educational and medical content aimed at supporting the day-to-day clinical practice of oncology professionals in Brazil. It builds on an editorial partnership first announced in 2022 to combat misinformation in online health content.
Thousands of oncology professionals gain free access to global clinical data
Under the collaboration, thousands of oncology professionals across Brazil will receive free, on-demand access to expert-led reporting, congress updates, analysis of emerging clinical data, and educational resources drawn from major international and national oncology meetings.
"By working closely with SBOC, combining clinical expertise with our advanced Medscape AI technologies, we can help Brazilian physicians more easily identify and access peer-reviewed and validated clinical information from global sources," said Pablo Labbé, Group Vice President at WebMD/Medscape.
SBOC president cites new channel for knowledge sharing across Brazil's oncology community
Dr. Clarissa Baldotto, President of SBOC, said the collaboration creates an important new channel for knowledge sharing that benefits oncologists across Brazil and, ultimately, their patients. SBOC, founded in 1981, represents clinical oncologists nationwide and supports continuing medical education, research, and healthcare policy development.
Diane Leonis, Head of Commercial and Educational Partnerships at Medscape Brazil, said the deepened collaboration connects Brazilian oncology professionals with timely insights from the global oncology community.
Brazil counted among Medscape's most engaged international markets
Medscape described Brazil as one of its most engaged international markets for physician education, noting the partnership reflects continued investment in the country's oncology sector.
