Medicilon Honors Revolution Medicines After FDA Daraxonrasib Approval

BOSTON – October 30, 2026 -- Medicilon presented Revolution Medicines, Inc. with its "Excellence in Client Partnership Award" after more than three years of joint work on pan-KRAS drug discovery, following the U.S. FDA's August 2026 approval of the NDA for Daraxonrasib in metastatic pancreatic cancer.

Dr. Yang Liu, Director of Medicinal Chemistry at Revolution Medicines, and Senior Scientist Dr. Kristof Pota received the award during a visit to Medicilon's Nanhui R&D Center. Dr. Maosheng Duan, President of Medicilon's Drug Discovery and Pharmaceutical Research Divisions, and Dr. Jian Wang, Vice President, hosted the delegation.

Medicilon's FTE team has supported Revolution Medicines for three years

Medicilon's full-time-equivalent (FTE) team worked with Revolution Medicines on R&D technical challenges, with the stated goal of efficiently delivering high-quality molecules. Medicilon describes the arrangement as a model of mutual trust between a contract research organization (CRO) and its client.

Duan congratulated Revolution Medicines on advancing KRAS, a target once considered "undruggable," and said the Daraxonrasib approval delivers significant clinical value. Medicilon said the award also reflects its confidence in a deeper, long-term partnership.

Both sides discuss data transfer and project management for the coming year

The parties reviewed project progress, cross-regional data transfer, project management and strategic priorities for the coming year. They also discussed ways to improve cross-border R&D efficiency.

Wang outlined Medicilon's integrated platform, which spans target discovery to IND submission. He said its quality system meets international standards and holds NMPA, OECD GLP, FDA GLP and AAALAC accreditation. Its platforms support ADC/AOC, TPD, RIPTAC, RNAi and peptide programs.

Revolution Medicines scientists tour chemistry, oligonucleotide and API labs

Liu and Pota toured the chemistry and oligonucleotide laboratories, as well as the API and preclinical research facilities. The visit gave them a firsthand view of Medicilon's R&D infrastructure and quality management system.
