Linux Foundation Unveils ONE Summit Japan 2026 Agenda in Tokyo

San Francisco – October 01, 2026 -- Linux Foundation Networking (LFN) has released the initial session lineup for ONE Summit Japan 2026, set for Dec. 10-11 in Tokyo alongside Open Source Summit Japan.

Tokyo event gathers global networking community to address agentic AI shift

The summit will bring together technologists, operators, researchers and open source contributors to examine how artificial intelligence is reshaping network architecture and how networks must evolve to support next-generation AI infrastructure. LFN frames this as one of networking's most significant architectural shifts in decades, with AI functioning simultaneously as a major network workload and as a tool for automating network operations.

Program spans six transformation areas from 6G to network APIs

The initial breakout program covers agentic AI and autonomous networks, edge AI and digital twins, agentic telecom operations using Model Context Protocol and Nephio, open source RAN and 6G/non-terrestrial networks, data center AI networking including SONiC and DPUs/IPUs, and network API monetization via CAMARA APIs and AIOps.

Linux Foundation executive cites a decade of community-driven agenda setting

Arpit Joshipura, general manager of Networking, Edge & IoT at the Linux Foundation, said ONE Summit has for more than a decade served as the venue where the open networking community tackles the industry's next major challenges. He said the community-selected 2026 program reflects an evolving conversation spanning agentic AI, autonomous operations, 6G, open RAN, network APIs and AI infrastructure, and that staging the event in Japan connects a regional innovation ecosystem with global contributors.

Session topics include OCUDU, AI-RAN and GPU/NPU acceleration for wireless networks

Specific technical tracks named in the program include OpenAN, StratoWeave, OCUDU, AI-RAN and A2A-T for open RAN and wireless infrastructure, alongside GPU/NPU acceleration for mission-critical private networks and multi-agent collaboration frameworks for AI-native network architectures.
