New York – September 11, 2026 -- The McBride Rewind, a celebrity interview podcast hosted by television personality Josh McBride, has signed with talent agency WME for representation in all areas and entered an exclusive distribution and monetization partnership with Nasdaq Stockholm-listed Acast.
Podcast secures dual representation to scale advertising and distribution
Acast will handle global distribution, advertising sales and monetization for the show, while WME will represent it across digital media, branded content, live events and other entertainment ventures. The moves come as Acast, which describes itself as the world's largest pure-play podcast company, connects more than 140,000 creators with over 4,000 advertisers globally.
Guest roster and media pickup drive momentum since launch earlier this year
Since debuting earlier this year, the weekly show has featured guests including Whoopi Goldberg, Ja Rule, Jodie Sweetin, Christine Taylor, Andrew Keegan, Mya and Nina Sky, focused on figures who shaped late-1990s and early-2000s pop culture. Several episodes have generated follow-on coverage in outlets including People and Page Six, with conversations covering residuals, career reinvention and shifting industry economics beyond nostalgia.
Acast executive cites advertiser interest in engaged fan base
"Josh has created a format that feels both familiar and fresh," said Jaclyn Wertheimer, Senior Development Manager at Acast. "His guests are comfortable opening up, and those conversations often become part of larger entertainment news cycles." Wertheimer said the partnership aims to widen the show's audience and bring in new advertising partners.
McBride, a television host and producer with nearly 15 years of on-air experience including appearances on Today, Good Morning America and The Talk, said the backing from WME and Acast will let the show expand while keeping its interview approach intact. With the new representation in place, the podcast plans to broaden its guest lineup and pursue opportunities across audio, video and live programming.
